Privacy policy

1. Data processed

We process the data necessary to create accounts and operate the service: identity and contact details, role, education level, subjects, goals, profile, availability, bookings, messages, billing information, preferences and support requests.

For MonProf AI, the service may process questions, transcripts, images or video excerpts voluntarily shared, learning settings, session summaries, usage duration and technical diagnostics. Users choose whether to enable their microphone or camera.

2. Purposes

This data is used to authenticate users, personalise support, connect students and tutors, manage bookings and payments, prevent fraud, ensure security, respond to support requests, improve service quality and comply with legal or accounting obligations.

3. Communications and acquisition measurement

Emails necessary for accounts, bookings, payments, security and MonProf AI operation may be sent independently of marketing preferences. Tips, updates and commercial offers are sent when the user has consented or when another applicable legal basis permits it. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, including through the unsubscribe link in the relevant messages.

When a campaign link is used, attribution parameters such as source, medium, campaign or a click identifier may be stored locally on the device to understand where a registration originated. This measurement is designed to remain optional and must not prevent access to the service.

4. Service providers

Data is shared only when necessary with technical providers, including hosting and database services (Supabase), deployment (Vercel), payments (Stripe), emails and real-time artificial intelligence features (Google Gemini). These providers process data according to their own contractual and security commitments.

MonProf.ch does not store full payment card details. These are collected and processed directly by Stripe.

5. Retention and deletion

Data is retained for the time necessary for the purposes described, then deleted or anonymised. Some information relating to payments, invoices, disputes, security or legal obligations may be retained for longer. Account deletion is available from the profile and results in deletion or anonymisation of data to the extent permitted by law.

6. Users who are minors

When a student who is a minor uses MonProf.ch or MonProf AI, their legal representative must authorise use of the service and ensure that no sensitive data or image of a third party is shared without a reason and permission.

7. Security and transfers

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. Some providers may process data outside Switzerland; MonProf.ch selects recognised services and uses available contractual mechanisms where required.

8. Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may request access to, correction, delivery, restriction or deletion of their data, or object to certain processing. Identity verification may be requested before responding.
